April 1-3, 2005 - Copenhagen: The Hans Christian Andersen year opens with a big performance in the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, in presence of Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark. Anne Provoost takes part as HCA2005-ambassador for Belgium.

March 11-13 , 2005 - Adelaide, Australia: Key note speech by Anne Provoost at the symposium RE:VIEWS, on literary criticism. RE:VIEWS is a national conference on the reviewing of books children and young adults. Jointly organised by the SA Writers' Centre & ALLWRITE! (the literature component of Come Out, the SA Youth Arts Festival), it will be held in Adelaide at the State Library. The aims are: to raise the profile of youth literature in our culture to encourage the reviewing of children's books as literature; to improve the quality of reviewing and to broaden our understanding of how all media approach the reviewing of children's literature.

April 30, 2004 -The rights to the audio-publication of In the Shadow of the Ark are bought by Blackstone Audiobooks. The unabridged version will be available on CD and MP-3 briefly after the publication of the American version of the book.

February 29, 2004 - New York: The paperback rights for USA and Canada of In the Shadow of the Ark are purchased by Berkley Books, a division of Penguin Putnam USA. The paperback will be published August 2005.

2004 November 2003 - Antwerp: Anne Provoost starts an i-relationship with knife forgerer Antoine van Loocke for Antwerp Book Capital ABC2004 in the project City of Letters. Together they will do an artistic project with the 9th letter of the alphabet, the letter i.
